Job Description
|
To become a senior member in a team of energy economists and regulatory and power system analysts in providing advisory services to a range of clients from international financial institutions, investment banks, government, regulatory and international agencies, project sponsors, utilities and major energy users. The projects are typically short to medium term assignments i.e. 3 weeks to 9 months. There is some requirement to travel.
The main area of work includes cost benefit analysis of energy projects (generally power/occasionally gas) in the developing world; reviews and establishment of regulatory frameworks for utilities/IPPs/markets; power and related (fuel, green credit) market analysis, reviews and forecasts, dispatch and generation expansion modeling (optimisation modeling); levelised cost analysis, pricing and tariff methodologies, and contract (PPAs, fuel supply agreements, etc) reviews. |
Candidate Requirements
|
Degree qualified or equivalent in economics or related discipline.
Experienced economist, preferably in the energy markets. |
