Job Description
|
The role will broadly be to provide management services to clients looking to design, engineer and construct offshore wind projects.
Our client is the largest power consultant in the world. Their global offshore wind portfolio is extensive with a strong order book for owner's, design and lender's engineering activities.
As the project manager for offshore wind in their Renewables Major Projects Division you will utilise staff from across the Group to form large project teams and deliver on their global offshore projects where they act as design or owner's engineer. You have the opportunity to join and manage in an established, well reputed and globally dominant renewable energy consultancy with continuing and vast ambition.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and interface management; Perform technical contract negotiations with suppliers; Participate in development and optimization of new solutions for offshore wind turbine installation; Plan and analyse the strategy for project implementation; Advising clients on issues of project construction; Providing regular reports on the status of the projects for senior management |

Competencies You are decisive and have strong planning and facilitating skills. Furthermore, you are enthusiastic, result-oriented, customer focused, resourceful and creative. You are characterized by having strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong conceptual problem solving capabilities and you are willing to travel.
Experience of managing the design or owner's activity on offshore wind projects.
Able to manage large projects utilising large numbers of staff and subcontractors.
A degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering. |
